What is a Portfolio?

  • Exist to achieve to achieve one or more organizational strategies and objectives and may consist of past, current or future portfolio components. 

What is Portfolio Management?

  • Coordinated management of one or more portfolios to achieve organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Includes interrelated organizational process by which an organization evaluates, selects, prioritizes, and allocates its limited internal resources to best accomplish organizational strategies consistent with its vision, mission and values. 
  • Produces valuable information to support or alter organizational strategies and investment decisions
