UC Merced 2020 Visioning and Change Alignment Process

The 2020 Visioning and Change Alignment Process is a campuswide initiative that will help shape the future of UC Merced.

UC Merced's Challenge

UC Merced has made incredible progress over its first ten years. But as we begin our second decade, big changes lie ahead:

  • Enrollment will approach 10,000 students
  • Significant numbers of additional faculty
  • New buildings will double the physical size of our campus
  • Increases in the number of staff to accommodate campus growth

Chancellor Leland and campus leadership believe that if UC Merced is to successfully adapt to these changes, we will require a clear, memorable, campuswide vision that describes what it will be like to teach, learn and work at UC Merced as we move toward 2020 and beyond.
